On the 7th of March 2012 Facebook suffered a 2hr blackout yesterday. The blackout affected Europe and Africa in what was described as an “interesting coincidence” by pointing to the timing after LulzSec hacker Hector Xavier Monsegur (28 years old) was unmasked. The Belgian government claimed that was a cyber attack but there was no evidence and Facebook insisted that was due to “technical problems”.
